Manavjit bags a bronze medal

Defending champion and former world champion Manavjit Singh Sandhu equa Oakley Sunglasses Outlet lled the Asian record of 124 out of 125 in qualification, but had to settle for bronze in the men trap event of the third Asian shotgun championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Wednesday.

Six time Asian champion Manavjit was reduced to fighting for the bronze as he shot 13 in the semifinals, and missed the gold medal match by one point.

With Zoravar Singh Sandhu and Mansher Singh also making it to the knock out stage, hopes were high in the Indian camp but it could manage only an individual bronze.

However, there was consolation in the form of the team gold.

Sharan misses gold

In the junior section, Gyanchand Susheel Sharan lost the gold by one point to the former World junior champion Talal Alrashidi, while the 14 year old Manavaditya Singh Rathore underlined his Oakley Sunglasses Outlet potential by clinching the bronze.

The junior trap shooters also won the team gold for India.
