Man Charged After Allegedly Intentionally Running Over Wife
A man accused of deliberately running over his estranged wife pet Chihuahua was charged with animal cruelty, the Los Angeles County District Attorney Office announced Thursday.

Michael David Parker of Sherman Oaks was charged Wednesday with one felony count each of cruelty to an animal with an allegation that he use Oakley Vault d his car as a deadly weapon and animal neglect, according to a news release from the DA office.
Police and animal control officers responded to an alley near El Segundo Boulevard and Doty Avenue in Hawthorne on Jan. 3 after a local resident found a dog that had been dead for several days and placed it inside a bag, a news release from the Hawthorne Police Department stated at the time.
Surveillance video from a few days earlier, on Dec. 28, showed Parker running over t Oakley Vault he 5 1/2 year old Chihuahua named Cow” and leaving the dog to die in the alley, police said.
Parker’s estranged wife Olga told KTLA back in January that she believed “Cow Cow” was killed in retaliation for not giving him money from the Oakley Vault ir retirement fund.
If convicted on all counts, Parker faced a maximum possible sentence of five years, two months in state prison, the release stated.
He was scheduled to be arraigned on March 25.

Police investigators said the video showed Michael David Parker of Sherman Oaks running over his estranged wife 5 1/2 year old Chihuahua, Cow. was arrested in January 2014, then charged with animal cruelty and other counts in March. He pleadedno contest on April 25, 2014, and was expected to be sentenced to 16 months in state prison.
